Now Hiring: Program Coordinator for the Safe Routes Partnership

The Safe Routes Partnership is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented professional to provide support for program operations. We welcome applicants with a passion for advancing safe walking and bicycling to school and in daily life and a dedication to creating livable, equitable, sustainable communities.

Summary: The Program Coordinator is a champion for equity and is responsible for supporting the program operations of the Safe Routes to Parks Activating Communities program at the local and national levels. In addition to being part of a team helping to grow the emerging area of Safe Routes to Parks, the Program Coordinator will support the coordination between other members of the Program and Policy team to track the program, its deliverables, and related areas including active transportation, Safe Routes to School, and advancing equity.

We are particularly looking for individuals for the following key responsibilities:

  • Support outreach for assigned programs or projects to include, but not limited to, partner organizations, grantees, and varied community groups.
  • Provide support to grantees, community groups, or assigned partner organizations including the coordination of meetings, resource content, and program deliverables.
  • Assist with development, coordination, and implementation of programmatic elements such as webinars and toolkits as needs arise.
  • Provide support on webinars and trainings which may include taking notes, technical support, and promotions.
  • Keep up to date on Safe Routes to School, active transportation, and healthy communities-related work and share substantive research and best practices to advance these areas.
  • Support program development and advocacy efforts through data collection and management.

The salary range for this at-will position is $51,000 – $60,000 depending on experience and qualifications, plus health insurance benefits, paid time off, and optional participation in a deferred compensation plan.  A PC computer plus telephone and internet access will be provided. Successful candidates will work from their home office, and may be based anywhere in the United States.
