The Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD) and the Strategic Growth Council on Friday announced the release of the 2014/15 Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) of approximately $120 million for the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program: http://www.hcd.ca.gov/fa/ahsc/docs/AHSC-NOFA-013015.pdf.
AHSC grants are available for projects that integrate walking and bicycling improvements with affordable housing developments and transit connectivity, based on competitive criteria outlined in the program guidelines. The primary criteria for project selection is reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
Concept proposals for AHSC projects are due by 5:00 p.m. on February 19, 2015. Concept proposal application and instructions will be available on HCD’s website by close of business Monday, February 2, 2015. Questions may be directed to AHSC@hcd.ca.gov.
