SGC Announces AHSC Guidelines Input Workshops

The California Strategic Growth Council (SGC) received $130 million this year in Cap-and-Trade funding to create a new Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) program. The program guidelines will be developed quickly over the next several months, and active transportation will be a key component of the program in addition to affordable housing and transit-oriented development. Supporting health and equity co-benefits will also be critical priorities for AHSC grants.
The SGC announced three workshops to receive public input that will inform the Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities Program Guidelines. Additionally, the National Partnership is hosting an informational webinar about the program on Friday, August 8. The webinar will include key staff from agencies involved in the program and will be a good primer for giving input in the SGC workshops. Learn more or register for the webinar.
