Metro considers 8 plus mile walking and bicycling path in South LA

2008-10-harbor-mapaMetro is a leading a study about creating a active transportation corridor in South Los Angeles.  The walking and bicycling path, over 8 miles long, would follow the old Harbor Subdivision rail right-of-way that Metro owns and that runs through Vernon and then along Slauson Avenue (see map above).Learn more about this project at a upcoming community meeting for all interested on February 26th at the Los Angeles Academy Middle School’s multi-purpose room, 644 E. 56th Street, Los Angeles, CA, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
