Today is the launch of the Bay Area Bike Share — the region’s bike sharing system with 700 bikes and 70 stations across the region, with locations in San Francisco, Redwood City, Mountain View, Palo Alto, and San Jose.

For the program to be a success we need to use it, and then advocate for its expansion! More information can be here: http://www.bayareabikeshare.com/

Additional write ups here http://www.sfbike.org/?bikeshare, and here http://www.sfgate.com/bayarea/article/Bay-Area-Bike-Share-program-about-to-begin-4769703.php.

The Bay Area Bike Share is a pilot project in a partnership among local government agencies including the Air District, San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, Sam-Trans, Caltrain, the County of San Mateo, the City of Redwood City and the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority.

Let’s make it work!!
