The Safe Routes to School Advocacy Day is right around the corner too – we need your help at this critical time in the Capitol!
Whether or not you are planning to attend the National Conference, plan to attend the Safe Routes to School California Advocacy Day in the State Capitol on August 15 (the last day of the conference) to educate California’s elected leaders on walking, bicycling, and Safe Routes to School!
Major changes have been proposed for state and federal funding of Safe Routes to School, walking and biking in California. The Legislature will be deciding during the month of August whether or not to adopt an Active Transportation Program that will absorb the Safe Routes to School program. We need your voice to remind elected officials that these dollars are critical to sustainable California communities! Registration details here.
