Draft Plan Bay Area Released: Comment Online and at Public Hearings

The Association of Bay Area Governments (ABAG) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) today released the Draft Plan Bay Area. Nearly three years in the making, Plan Bay Area is an integrated long-range transportation and land-use/housing plan that will support a growing economy, provide more housing and transportation choices, and reduce transportation-related pollution in the San Francisco Bay Area.

You can read the draft plan here: http://onebayarea.org/pdf/Draft_Plan_Bay_Area_3-22-13.pdf

We have until May 16 to make comments, both online and at a series of public hearings around the Bay Area in coming weeks. We’ll want to make sure advocates attend to ensure that walking, bicycling, and Safe Routes to School are emphasized.
