Safe Routes to School webinar in Spanish

The University of North Carolina Highway Safety Research Center will be hosting a Spanish-language webinar “Teaching Children to Walk Safely as They Grow and Develop” on Wednesday, August 24.  The program is to provide advice skills to teach children of all ages about pedestrian safety.  It is sponsored by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration and developed with the help of the National Center for Safe Routes to School.  To register, click here

The webinar will be presented in Spanish but will also include a brief introduction in English.  It will be followed by a question-and-answer session during the last 15 or 20 min.

If you are interested in engaging children in your community in walking and interacting outdoors and providing them with the necessary skills to do so, this event should be very informative and fun!
