Efforts in Sonoma County – Roseland Elementary Action Plan

2011 Roseland SRTS Action Plan

Santa Rosa, California, a photo by 350.org on Flickr. The Roseland School District serves many children on a daily basis. Approximately 95 percent of the students live within half a mile to a mile of walking distance from the school that they attend. Of these students, approximately 25 percent currently walk or bike to school. This leaves the majority of the student population in a car for their commute — driven to school by family members or school bus, negatively impacting the traffic flow at and near the school.

Check out the impressive 2011 Roseland SRTS Action Plan that has been developed among stakeholders, led by the Sonoma County Bicycle Coalition, for Roseland Elementary School. Thanks Tina for sending it along and sharing this as a best practice!
